New designs

I've been busy with bridal work recently but these are more or less all finished, and so I've now got more time to have fun developing some new crafted items. 

I'm deep in the middle of making things for various upcoming craft events and have decided to add a bit more variety to what I offer. Usually it's bags and accessories such as brooches, scarves and necklaces but this year I'm adding some festive decorations and some decorative items for the home such as fabric animals, insects and birds.

I've been working on the teeny felt insects and also playing with bird designs.

I often sit at my desk watching the seagulls wheeling around the sky, so it was a pure joy to find this wee guy when I was playing about with my fabrics. 

He literally appeared on his own - I was working with a generic bird design and suddenly there he was, looking back at me with his beady seagull eyes.
